Anthony J. "Tony" Comegno passed away peacefully into God's loving and eternal care on Thursday, July 2nd, 2009 in Cooper University Hospital Camden at the age of 79 surrounded by his loving family.
Tony, a loving and dedicated father and family man was born in Burlington, NJ on September 4, 1929. He worked for Rohm and Haas in Bristol, PA as a chemical operator. After his retirement he worked another 20 years as a faithful crossing guard for the Burlington City School District, where he was loved by all the children and families that knew him. Tony also held many part-time jobs through the years and was working on a farm at the tender age of 5. His most precious moments were spent with his loving wife of 59 years, of just spending time together and sharing their undying love for each other. He also loved spending special times with his loving granddaughters watching the Phillies and Eagles games. Tony was known and loved by everyone. He was truly sent from God.
Funeral services will be held 10am Friday at the Full Gospel Fellowship Church, Jacksonville Rd. Springfield Twp. Friends may call the PAGE FUNERAL HOME, 302 E. Union St., Burlington on Thursday from 7 - 9pm. An additional viewing will be held at the church Friday from 9 - 10am.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be sent to Cooper University Hospital, 1 Cooper Plaza, Camden, NJ 08103 or Holy Family University (College), 9801 Frankford Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19114. Those wishing may e-mail condolences to the family through www.pagefuneralhome.com.

Riverton Borough will be hosting their annual July 4th parade-Tri-Boro NEEDS YOUR HELP
REMINDER: Riverton Borough will be hosting their annual July 4th parade.The Tri-Boro CERT is requesting additional members to either assist with traffic/control or march in the parade. Addition information pertaining to staging times,locations and parking will be given at a later time.
Tri-Boro NEEDS YOUR HELP, they don't have enough people to assist with this event. Please canvass your membership and determine who would like to participate. Please forward their names to my office ASAP.
Individuals are to report to the Riverton Firehouse/Police Station at 7:45am on July

The parade starts promptly at 10:00am, however Riverton also need the services of CERT for the Annual Bill Oliver Run for Fun Race that takes place before the parade at approximately 8:30am. Meeting Minutes of June 18, 2009
1) Palmyra Safety Day- Despite the weather we were successful with getting eight new sign ups. As you can see we have a few of those present here tonight- Margie & Howard Parry, as well as Juanita Bussie and Junita Payne we would like to welcome them as well as our newest graduated members: Doreen and her son Tom Mc Kechney,and Julius Trusty. Who as it appears they were not able to make it this evening however, the three of them just graduated on June 9th. Speaking of the next class we are still waiting to hear from Wayne as to when that next class will take place- however we do have ten people-so it definitely will be a class just for our team “Tri-Boro”.Unfortunately, Wayne was not able to make it this evening due to a family situation. We ask that we keep his Wayne,his father, and his family in our thoughts and prayers.
2) July 4th Parade- initially we were hoping to participate in the parade and had invited Willingboro and CART to be a part of the parade with us, well unfortunately Riverton Police Department has asked for our assistance one again with the traffic detail – they need 15 members to assist with crowd control. Therefore we will not be able to participate after all. Willingboro and CART will be there.We need to know as soon as possible who is avaiable to assist Chuck has to meet with Greg Willis from Riverton on Tuesday to give him a head count of how many bodies we can provide from Tri-Boro.
3) Trailer update- bring everyone up to date on the trailer information.We have submitted all the necessary paperwork to Wayne and that it is now up to the state to see what happens. We received recommendations from Palmyra OEM, Palmyra Police, Palmyra Fire, as well as Riverton Police Department.
4) Core Meeting Minutes- Ed Spooner to read his meeting minutes. After was to read his minutes from the CORE committee- announce to the team that since Ed will have “dual Citizenship” with Mt Holly. We will need to have representation.
5) Missing Person & Evidential Search Course- June 6th- Tri-Boro had great representation including our new members. We felt that it was a great learning experience for all of us. For those of you that missed this class hopefully they will offer this again.
6) CPR Classes. Again we still do not have a date on this. As soon as we do we will be in touch with each of you
5) Two items regarding Pet First Aid/CPR: The PET First Aid/CPR class that was originally to be held in the May/June timeframe, had to be postponed, due to illness in the instructor's family. The new date of the class is Saturday, July 11th.It will be held at the Willingboro OEM, and run from 10am until 2pm-3pm.Initially the class was to be at no cost, but it now looks like there will be a $5 fee per student.It will cost another $8 for a card (which is optional.) You can also purchase a Dog First Aid/CPR book and/or Cat First Aid/CPR book for $16.95 each.Pet First Aid kits will be available for $19.95 each. Class size is limited to 20.Please email Tracey Sunderland at sunderlandfarms@comcast.net to confirm a seat in the class. Preference will be given to CART members first,and any remaining seats made available to CERT members.

Reminder- Combined LEPC/CERT Meeting June 18-7:00pm
Just a quick reminder to everyone that the combined meeting for the LEPC/CERT will be on the 18th at 7:00pm at the Palmyra EMS building. Tracy has prepared a powerpoint demonstration from the "Thumper's Revenge". Again, please make sure to park behind the firehouse. We have invited new members as well as potential new members to come to the meeting to see firsthand what CERT is all about.

Graduation Ceremony held on June 9th in Westampton
Tri-Boro CERT is please to announce that we had three new members graduate from the recent training class held in Westampton at the County Emergency Sevices Training Center. Some of us had a chance to meet the mew members this past Saturday during the recent training exercise held at the Willingboro Emergency Operations Center.
We would all like to welcome Doreen and her son Thomas Mc Kechney as well as Julius Trusty to our team, and we look forward to working with them.

The Missing Person & Evidential Search Course was held on June 6th
The Missing Person & Evidential Search Course was held on June 6th (Saturday) at the Willingboro Kennedy Center. This training event required a tremendous amount of planning and logistical support. The positive results were accomplished by the dedication and hard work of John Carroll Jr(Willingboro CERT),Charlie Day Willingboro CERT),Dawn Hatch (Pemberton CERT),Gary Johnson(Willingboro CERT) and Tracey Sunderland Burlington City/Twp CERT). Please forward a "Thank-You" and "Job Well Done" to the members of your specific group
Eighty-six (86) members successfully completed this course. The class consisted of thirty-two (32) new members who are currently attending their basic CERT training, along with six (6) members of our neighboring Atlantic County CERT. I was extremely impressed with how well our members worked as a team, remained enthusiastic and motivated. Please pass-on "Congratulations" to the following members.

Missing Person Training Course- Completion
Thirteen members of the Tri-Boro team completed the course offered in Willingboro on June 6,2009. Chuck,Eileen,Sheila,Ed S,Margaret,MaryLou,Tom O,Josie,Jim,Joe & new members: Doren & Tom Mc Kechney, & Julius Trusty. The team worked very well with finding various items that were on the course, even finding our mising person before the event started. Great Teamwork.

The Missing Persons & Evidential Search Course-June 6th
REMINDER: The Missing Persons & Evidential Search Course is scheduled for June 6th (Saturday) at the Willingboro OEM located in the Kennedy Center (429 JFK Way Willingboro, New Jersey 08046-map attached). When you enter the the Kennedy Center, park in the lots located to your left and enter the building by the front doors.
This class is open to all CERT/CART/MRC/NWG members. Registration will begin at 7:15am (coffee & danish); class starts at 8am and will finish around 1pm (lunch will be served-hotdogs, beans, pasta salad). The classroom training will be done in the auditorium and the hands-on training will be outside, so dress accordingly.
Please pass this information on to your members.
