from the weather office. The listing is on the Skywarn Home Page:

Skywarn Training

Burlington County may sponsor a SKYWARN Class at the ESTC if we have enough people interested in attending this class. SKYWARN is spotter training for individuals to work with the National Weather Service by observing and reporting adverse conditions. I believe this type of training can be very beneficial to our members. Class is approximately three (3) hours and will probably be held on an evening in late July or early August. Please canvass your membership to determine if they would be interested in this type of class. Please forward this information to my office ASAP.

Another note from Wayne

The Farm Fair will be held on July 23rd, 24th, 25th and 26th. Wayne has attached a copy of the schedule for all CERT/CART/MRC members. Please note that the parking passes for our volunteers will not be done until Monday. Once the passes are available, hopefully our members can pick them up at the Burlington County Health Department. Wayne will also attempt to deliver some of the parking passes to the Coordinators & Managers.
Additional information about the Farm Fair (location of trailer/table, parking, work procedures) will be sent out next week.

Thanks,
Wayne Comegno

A Note from- Wayne Comegno-Burlington County OEM

The NJOEM is sponsoring a CERT Mobilization Day on September 20th at the Sea Grit Police Training Academy. Only CERT units with a trailer (Mount Laurel, Pinelands Regional and Willingboro) are invited to attend and participate in this event. It is mandatory for these teams to attend. The CERT members will take part in several training and exercise scenarios. All equipment, food, water and ice will be supplied by the NJOEM.

Upon discussing this new information with members of both the Core Group and Design Team, we decided that our Field Day (use to be called a rodeo) will be postponed. The Field Day was scheduled for September 27th and will now be rescheduled for April 2009. Hopefully this event can be held on April 24th which is during Volunteer's Week.

Please forward this information to all your members.

Thanks,
Wayne Comegno
