Happy Birthday to the Following Team Members

Happy Belated Birthday's go out to:

Marty Spooner-May 1st- Who at the present time is still away in boot camp-we hope to see him soon,and wish him all the best for a safe return to his family.

Barry Luckenbill-May-7th- Our former County Coordinator.He has since retired from training future CERT members,but we still wanted to remember to wish him a Happy Birthday.

Cindi Vee-May 17th-We hope that you enjoyed your day !!

Team Meeting Minutes for May 21, 2009

1) Brief Review of Thumper’s Exercise- Held on March-28th -Thank all those team members that participated: Sheila Reynolds, Wendy Haniman, Ed Spooner, Margaret Genzano, Mary Lou Mascarin Szeman, Jim May, Cindi Vee, Diana Horen, Joe Threston, Lisa Threston, Josie Grimes, and a special “Thank-you” to Joann O’ Donnell for taking the pictures for us.

2) Palmyra Safety Day- Despite the weather we were successful with getting eight new sign ups. Thank-you to all that participated: Tom O’ Donnell, Margaret Genzano, Cindi Vee Sheila Reynolds, Joe Threston, Lisa Threston, Eileen, & Chuck Young. Next class to start mid July. We need at least ten people to have strictly a “Tri-Boro” class.

3) Pet First Aid/CPR Class as we all know the class did not take place on May 16th
hopefully we will hear about the date for June 20th- Those that are interested please let Eileen know ASAP so we can see if we can get you in for this class- space is limited at the present time mostly to the existing CART members.

4) Missing Person & Evidential Search Course- June 6th- 8am-1:00pm-
Willingboro OEM –located in the Kennedy Center (429 JFK Way Willingboro,New Jersey
Remember when you enter the parking lot of the Kennedy Center look for the road that runs to your right around the front of the building; follow that road all the way to the rear and look for the OEM trailers. This class is open to all CERT/CART/MRC/NWG members and will be held from 8am to 1pm, lunch will be provided. The training will be done inside and outside, so dress accordingly.Depending on the amount of members that attend, the inside training will take place either in the EOC or in the auditorium.
At the present time all Tri-Boro Members are registered for this course. We are all to meet in the parking lot of the Kennedy Center-. Make sure to bring your Tri-Boro ID with you. We have new members that are still in class that are also taking this class and it would be nice if they had the chance to meet the team before graduation.

With the exceptions of Cindi, Carol, & Marty.
If any other team members are NOT interested PLEASE EMAIL EILEEN AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

5) CPR Classes will be starting in mid/late summer once the American Heart Instructors are trained as Red Cross Instructors.

6) Speaking of Graduation- at the present time we have three new members in class that will graduate on June 9th. We are hoping that we will get the chance to meet them during the training exercise on the 6th as well as invite them to come to our combined meeting on June 18th.

Palmyra Safety Day 2009







Despite the weather conditions and the advanced warnings from the health department for group gatherings the Palmyra Safety Day went on as planned. Tri-Boro CERT had our team out there to try to explain what the CERT program is to as many people that came out for the day.This year's participants included for the event: Tom O'Donnell,Margaret Genzano,Cindi Vee, Sheila Reynolds, Joe Threston,Lisa Threston, Eileen Young, Coordinator Chuck Young. We were also fortunate to have representatives from the Palmyra Office of Emergency Management as well as the Palmyra Fire Marshall alongside us this year during the event.
